Auto Defogging Sensor (ADS)

The relative humidity sensors in the SAF product family are designed to accurately measure the relative humidity (RH) and temperature (T) on the inside of the windshield, thereby enabling the climate control system to actively prevent fogging. The product family offers various options for housing, mounting and the electrical interface. The sensor signals are fully calibrated, linearized and temperature-compensated, allowing the SAF product family to ensure high accuracy across a wide range of humidity and temperature conditions, including temperatures well below 0°C.

MSS Solar/Ambient Light Sensor

Solar/Ambient Light Sensor

The solar/ambient light sensor is a combination of two sensor types in a single design. The auto light sensor detects the sunlight in order to automatically control the vehicle’s lighting system. Meanwhile, the sunload sensor measures the solar radiation and sends the information to the FATC output signal, which can accordingly adjust the HVAC system for temperature compensation purposes.

AQS Air Quality Sensor

Air Quality Sensor (AQS)

The AQS sensors in the SAQ product family are designed to accurately measure traffic-related odors, pollutants and gases and optionally also the relative humidity and temperature of the air that enters the HVAC system. Using these values, the AQS sensors automatically calculates the air quality level and, if necessary, the dew point temperature, which are then used for HVAC control. The standard LIN interface allows for easy system integration. The sensor signals are fully calibrated, linearized and temperature-compensated, meaning the SAQ sensors provide an outstanding level of accuracy across the entire range of humidity and temperature conditions relevant for HVAC control.

Particulate Matter Sensor (PM2.5)

PM2.5 and PM10 refer to particulate matter with diameters of up to 2.5 microns and 10 microns, respectively, which are among the most dangerous air pollutants. Due to their small size, PM2.5 particles can travel deep into the human lung and cause a variety of health issues. Sensirion's PM2.5 sensor solution will enable the implementation of air quality monitoring devices that prevent air pollution damage.
