Engineered for long-term performance, the SABM series offers an extended operating time of up to 15 years without compromising on performance throughout this lifetime.

The base sensor detects a thermal runaway condition by measuring the gas composition inside the battery compartment. Other sensor technologies can be added on top, offering a multi-channel solution for systems where the decomposition of the overall ASIL requires the detection of the hazardous condition by more than one sensor element.

A current consumption of ~300 uA makes it suitable to be used in parking mode as well when the sensor is supplied by the standard 12V battery.
